Gravitar is a 1982 arcade shooter from Atari where players pilot a blue spacecraft through a solar system filled with hazardous planets. The twist here is gravity itself: in the top-down view, your ship drifts toward the star, forcing you to navigate carefully. Land on a planet and the perspective flips to a side-scrolling level where you destroy red bunkers while dodging their fire. Use the tractor beam to collect fuel tanks to keep moving, and blow up each planet to advance. The game mixes precise shooting with physics-based movement, creating a tense balance between action and strategy.
