You’re a scout stranded on a stormy island trying to sneak past enemies and save your crew. Grey Scout uses motion-activated patrols and environmental cover to build tension as you wriggle through forests, across beaches, and into guarded encampments. The controls emphasize timing and patience, duck behind rocks, wait out patrols, and slip into buildings to free trapped allies. Rain effects and fog blur your vision while amplifying every footstep. The map opens gradually as you scavenge tools like binoculars and smoke bombs to outwit enemies. The game’s atmosphere leans into isolation and dread with murky visuals and sparse sound design. While not as mechanically deep as industry leaders, it nails the claustrophobic thrill of stealth done right. Sokpop Collective’s first title shows promise with a compact but challenging design. PC and Mac players looking for a tense, low-dialogue adventure might find it refreshing.
