Ground Zero Texas casts you as a government technician defending a border town from alien infiltration. Using mounted gun cameras spread across the area you watch for signs of abductees turning into shapeshifting drones. The gameplay loops on vigilance and quick reflexes as you switch between cameras to spot and shoot threats before they reach civilians. The aliens mimic humans until they strike creating a tense see-and-respond rhythm. The 1993 Sega CD release leans into its era’s surveillance horror vibe with grainy visuals and limited camera angles. While the formula feels familiar to other ’90s interactive shooters it carves out a niche with its Texas setting and straightforward action. No flashy mechanics just a steady challenge of observation and trigger management.
