Guards! lets you team up with three friends to blast through chaotic situations as overworked cops. Armed with shotguns and questionable tactics, you’ll storm buildings, arrest crooks, and leave a trail of wrecked property. The city of New Alestead is a mess of corruption and trouble, and your job is to fix it, however that goes. The game leans into the absurdity of it all with goofy dialogue and slapstick action. The co-op mode is the real draw, forcing you to coordinate messy raids or suffer the consequences of solo play. With support for up to four players, it’s built for teamwork and the chaos that comes when you don’t have it. Since launch on PC and next-gen consoles, it’s drawn praise for its brisk pacing and dark humor. Fans of lovable incompetence in co-op shooters will find plenty to smirk at here.
