Guimo is a DOS platformer where you play as a lizard-shaped guardian tasked with saving a digital world called Bitland. The game follows Guimo as he jumps, shoots, and uses gadgets to fight through waves of enemies while navigating tricky platforming levels. His mission: stop the villain Necterion from destroying Bitland and moving on to Earth. Along the way Guimo is aided by his robot companions the Eggys who provide support during battles and exploration. Released in late 1997 Guimo offers a quirky take on the platformer genre with its sci-fi premise and retro graphics. While not widely remembered at the time it’s gained a small following among DOS enthusiasts for its challenging gameplay and creative level design. The game’s blend of action and platforming combined with its unusual characters makes it a niche pick for those digging through old-school PC titles.

Storyline

There is trouble brewing on BITLAND, Earth's shadowy sister world in a parallel universe because the peaceful people of this world are about to be annihilated! They are the characters from computer games, whose only interaction with us humans is through gameplay. An entity known as NECTERION has passed through the dimension between both worlds and he has vowed to polish off humanity after the domination of BITLAND World! Enter GUIMO, fearless galactic sentinel and lizard dude! Equipped with a comprehensive arsenal of all the neatest gadgets and accompanied by his friends, the EGGY ROBOTS, GUIMO will leap and blast his way through hordes of "baddies" in his search for a solution!
