"Gunman Clive 2 is everything a fan of the original game could want: it improves on an already strong framework, without feeling like a rehash. For the price, this is simply one of the best platformers available on the Nintendo 3DS. Gunman Clive 2 proves that Hörberg Productions' first game was no fluke. The first title felt like an homage to some of the better games from yesteryear, but the sequel proves that the developer has established a unique voice for the franchise moving forward. I truly hope we'll get to see this franchise continue to grow in the near future."

Gunman Clive 2 is a side scrolling action game where you duck shoot and jump through chaotic levels. You play as a hat wearing marksman battling waves of enemies in fast paced combat. The gameplay blends precise platforming with cover based shooting letting you upgrade weapons and gadgets to survive. Each level feels like a hectic dance of dodging and firing with tight controls and varied enemy types. The sequel ramps up the challenge with bigger bosses and more colorful environments. Levels mix vertical spaces and tight corridors to keep things fresh. With no hand holding it demands quick reflexes and smart positioning. The retro charm and tight design have earned it a solid fanbase. It’s a short but punchy experience that’s tough but fair for those who like their action with some difficulty.
Storyline
After rescuing Ms Johnson, Gunman Clive returns to again find the town under attack by bandits. To stop them once and for all he must chase after their leader; an adventure that takes him all the way around the world, facing bigger and deadlier enemies than ever before.
