Haak is an action-platformer with RPG and puzzle elements set in a ruined world. You navigate a shattered landscape as a wanderer seeking refuge, using melee and ranged attacks to survive. The game emphasizes exploration and progression, with combat encounters and environmental puzzles unlocking new areas. Upgrades let you tackle vertical and horizontal challenges, while scattered lore pieces hint at the world’s downfall. The game’s strength lies in its atmospheric setting and tight gameplay loop. The contrast between desolate wastelands and the relatively safe Sanho region creates a moody backdrop. Combat feels responsive though not overly complex, balancing platforming precision with light RPG resource management. With 4.5 hours average playtime reported by early players, it’s a concise but cohesive experience. Available on PC Switch and mobile, it adapts well to handheld play.
The game takes place in a world ravaged by disaster. The once glorious city has been reduced to ruins, and the survivors struggle for survival. In the south, a land called Sanho has mostly remained unaffected by the calamity due to its unique geographical environment and has grown into something of a sanctuary. The protagonist, Haak, is a traveler from a small northern town. He chose to leave his home and ventured south to survive.
