Haffy DX is a fast paced shooter where you pilot a transformable starship through chaotic battles. Each of the four stages throws waves of bizarre enemies at you requiring quick reflexes to dodge bullets and unleash destructive attacks. The ship can shift between three forms each with unique weapons and abilities letting you adapt to overwhelming odds. Between levels hand drawn animated cutscenes set the stage for the next wave of threats. Simple right? Probably not. But that’s the point. The game’s standout feature is its frenetic action paired with colorful hand crafted visuals. Players praise the responsive controls and the satisfaction of switching ship forms mid combat to exploit enemy weaknesses. Boss fights are particularly intense blending pattern recognition with split second decisions. While the story about intergalactic task forces and secret starfighters is straightforward it gives just enough context to tie the explosive set pieces together. Short punchy and unapologetically chaotic Haffy DX is for anyone who enjoys keeping one step ahead of a bullet storm.

Storyline

In a universe with no one governing authority, there live the Unaffiliated Task Forces, groups of individuals who answer the calls of those in need to do what they believe is right. You will take the role of Keith Patary, a member of the UTF known as SHARD. Keith has been called upon by leader of the planet Sagataria-IV, where he has been endowed with their biggest, darkest secret, the ultra-modular morphing starfighter known as HAFFY. Now, in the cockpit of this machine of mass destruction, he must fight back the mysterious and strange forces that are devastating the planet.
