Hakuoki SSL: Sweet School Life follows Yukimura Chizuru’s first year at Hakuou Academy, a boys’ school that’s suddenly gone co-ed. As the lone female student, she navigates classroom chaos, club activities, and awkward social dynamics. The game leans into visual novel staples, branching dialogue, relationship-building, and scene-skipping menus, while blending slice-of-life moments with the series’ signature dramatic flair. Players shape Chizuru’s interactions with classmates, balancing academics, extracurriculars, and the inevitable romantic subplots. Storyline

Spring, a season of blessing for new encounters. Yukimura Chizuru knocks on the gates of a private academy, which has since been a boys' school. However, as of this year, Hakuou Academy opens its gates to co-education and Chizuru is the only female student enrolled. Thus, begins her first year.
