Haze casts you as a soldier in a world ruled by a corporation that weaponizes a hallucinogenic drug. As Shane Carpenter, you begin as a Mantel enforcer, using the reality-warping Nectar to fight with supernatural clarity. The game unfolds over three days as you witness the drug’s brutal cost on your comrades. After a pivotal betrayal, you abandon Mantel and join a rebel faction to dismantle the company’s grip. Combat blends traditional shooting with surreal, dreamlike sequences that blur the line between battle and illusion. The game’s most striking element is its narrative pivot from corporate pawn to rebel underdog. Set on PlayStation 3, it features a single-player campaign that shifts tone sharply, leaning into dystopian themes and moral ambiguity.
