Healer is an indie action roguelike where you play a doctor battling infections from within. Each run starts by choosing a disease from patient records, then guiding immune system defenders through different body organs. You’ll switch between weapons and tactics to take down viruses, bacteria, and other threats. The game mixes fast-paced combat with random maps and permanent consequences. The medical theme brings fresh visuals and enemy variety, from lung-crawling spores to brain-invading fungi. Bosses mimic real pathogens but with exaggerated, creative traits. While the difficulty spikes inconsistently, the roguelike structure encourages experimentation with builds and strategies. Released in November 2023, it’s a short but punchy experience for players who enjoy high-risk, high-reward runs.
