Heroes of Eternal Quest is a single-player RPG that mixes base-building with strategic exploration. You manage a settlement at the bottom of a massive pyramid, gathering resources and constructing structures to support your team. The real challenge comes from leading a group of heroes through dangerous portals to higher levels of the tower, where they face unknown threats and collect vital materials. Each journey requires careful planning, as you'll need to balance risk and reward while unlocking new abilities and equipment. The game's standout feature is its portal-based travel system, which forces you to think creatively about movement and resource management. Every layer of the pyramid offers different challenges and secrets, making each expedition feel distinct. While the story about a broken world and a desperate climb to freedom is familiar, the execution feels fresh thanks to the card-unlocking mechanics and the need to upgrade your heroes. Released in January 2024, it's been praised for its tight gameplay loops and the satisfaction of gradually ascending the tower.

Storyline

No one could have imagined that the once peaceful world would be irretrievably lost. One day, everything fell apart, and the world turned into a massive pyramid. Various of creatures found homes on different "layers", each based on how high or low they were. With no physical paths connecting these layers, we could only travel using huge "portals". The surviving humans live in the lowest, poorest areas of this new world. They call it the "Tower of Shards" and hope to reach the top of the world one day, breaking free from an unfair destiny. While we won't give in to this strange fate, only a few people, known as "the Marked", can safely travel through the "portals". They're our last hope. Since humans are living in areas with few resources, it's up to "the Marked" to start expeditions to bring back resources home.
