About

In this adventure puzzle game you explore a decaying inn and its surrounding gardens while figuring out a story split between modern-day and 19th-century Netherlands. You collect items solve environmental puzzles and piece together a mystery involving a mysterious Egyptian artifact. The gameplay mixes inventory-based challenges with narrative decision points though progression often feels linear. Time shifts between eras add context but don't deeply integrate with core mechanics. Community feedback is mixed with a 4/10 rating from 140 hours of collective play. Players note the puzzles are functional but unremarkable and the Egypt subplot feels underdeveloped. The hand-drawn art style and period details earn praise though technical issues on older platforms occasionally disrupt pacing. Released in 2010 it remains available on PC and DS for fans of cozy mystery adventures seeking light puzzle-solving. The story’s dual timelines generate curiosity but fail to fully engage according to most reviews.

Time travel to an inn that's already abandoned? Sure, why not. The puzzles are average, the story's by the numbers, and the Egypt bit feels like a cash grab tacked on for atmosphere. At least the inn's decor is aggressively cliche, which is a nice touch. Garden full of artifacts?...
