Hexic is a tile-matching puzzle game that uses a hexagonal grid instead of the usual square grid. Players rotate and drop multi-colored shapes onto the board aiming to create clusters of four or more matching tiles. Each match clears those tiles and shifts the remaining ones downward. The challenge grows as the board fills faster if you don't keep clearing space. The game runs on multiple platforms including PC Xbox 360 and mobile devices making it easy to play short sessions across different systems. Created by Alexey Pajitnov the mind behind Tetris Hexic has a pedigree of puzzle design that feels both familiar and distinct. It launched in 2003 on MSN Games and later shipped free with Xbox 360 consoles. Though not as widely discussed as other titles its simple mechanics and increasing difficulty make it stick around. The Deluxe PC version adds extra modes but the core experience remains a straightforward test of spatial planning and quick reflexes. Over 20 years later it still shows up in retro compilations and casual play lists.
