The split-screen mode lets you battle a friend head to head, while multiple camera angles keep the action dynamic. Simple controls and fast pacing make it easy to jump into, but mastering the tricky routes and traffic jams takes practice. The game’s clean layout and responsive handling stand out, though it’s often overshadowed by its Japanese counterpart. Known there as Wangan Dead Heat, this international version removes adult-themed elements from the career mode, focusing purely on racing. While it lacks some depth compared to later entries in the Shutokou Battle series, fans of arcade-style racing appreciate its raw energy and competitive multiplayer.
