Himehibi: Princess Days is a PlayStation 2 visual novel following Aizaki Koi, a high school girl forced into an all-boys school to help her grandfather’s experiment. The story mixes schoolyard antics with tense drama as she navigates threats from opponents of the co-ed plan. Players make dialogue choices that shape relationships with classmates, balancing personal bonds against the central conflict. The game leans into classic otome tropes with branching scenarios and romantic subplots. Despite its 2006 release, the game holds a niche following for its blend of slice-of-life and mystery elements. Limited Western exposure keeps it under the radar but fans of character-driven visual novels often praise its tight narrative pacing. With minimal combat or action, it focuses on dialogue and decision-making, offering roughly 20 hours of story per playthrough. The PlayStation 2 port remains the only official release nearly two decades later.
Aizaki Koi is attending a normal high school, when one day her grandfather asks her to enroll in his all boys school as an experiment, to convince the board of directors that the school can successfully be turned co-ed. At first she refuses, but soon she ends up enrolling in this school as the only girl to help her grandfather out. But there are those who oppose this plan, and soon she begins to receive threatening phone calls from those who wish for her to leave the school...
