Hiouden is a 1992 RPG that blends real time strategy with character progression. You control multiple teams of up to six monsters each moving through isometric maps. Combat and exploration happen continuously without turn based pauses. Characters gain strength by defeating enemies and can be set to auto mode for semi autonomous action. Coordination between teams often determines success as you manage their movements and attacks across dynamic environments. The game stands out for its forward thinking window based interface.
