Hired Ops throws you into a gritty mercenary war where you pick a class and gear up to fight for control of the global PMO scene. Five character types let you play as a specialist in different combat roles each with deep skill trees and customizable weapons. Team up with others to form private military outfits and tackle contracts that mix shooting, base building and clan warfare. The Enhanced Realism mode adds extra layers of challenge for those looking for a tougher grind. The game leans hard into competitive clan clashes and player-driven economies. While it launched in 2016 and hasn't gained huge mainstream traction it maintains a niche following for its tactical depth and persistent world elements. The Russian near-future setting keeps things grounded in a war-torn geopolitical landscape.
