Hold the Plates is an indie arcade game about catching falling dishes with a sliding tray. You move left or right to collect plates midair then guide them to the screen’s bottom where tables wait. As the tray fills, each new plate shifts its center of gravity, making balance tricky. Missed plates pile up behind you, forcing quick adjustments to keep the chaos from spilling over. The game’s charm lies in its brutal simplicity. Two buttons and a steady flow of descending china create a rhythm that’s easy to pick up but hard to master. Early rounds feel manageable but the pace and weight of stacked plates escalate fast, turning every run into a test of timing and adaptability.
