Hook is a point-and-click adventure where you play a grown-up Peter Pan forced to confront Captain Hook after his kids are taken. Solve puzzles, gather items, and interact with characters in a whimsical but clunky interface. The game leans on bright 16-bit-era visuals and Tinkerbell’s occasional help, though her presence feels more decorative than functional. The script struggles to balance modern updates with the source material, leading to awkward dialogue and a rushed conclusion. Despite its charming art style and nostalgic appeal, Hook’s stiff controls and shallow storytelling leave little lasting impact. Released in 1992, it shows its age with simplistic puzzles and a runtime that feels incomplete. Fans of retro adventures might appreciate its place in history, but modern players will likely find the experience underdeveloped. The DOS Amiga and Atari ST versions remain the only ways to try this forgotten relic of early point-and-click design.
