Hopper is a fast-paced arcade game from 1984 where you control a kangaroo on the run. Each level is a single screen filled with crates and three pursuing circus trainers. You move in any direction and nudge crates to block paths or trap enemies. Squishing a trainer with a crate removes them but you must eliminate all three to move forward. With four lives and no saving, mistakes add pressure. The simple layout hides tricky puzzles as you balance evasion and strategy. This TI-99 title leans into chaotic close quarters combat. The lack of open worlds or fancy graphics means the focus stays on quick reflexes and crate placement. While the formula is familiar from other 80s arcade ports, the frantic action and straightforward design make it addictive in short bursts.
