Hoser is a DOS-based arcade game that swaps the classic Snake setup for a garden hose. Guide a multi segmented hose across the screen in four directions collecting targets called faucets before time runs out. Early stages offer one faucet at a time but later levels throw in multiple targets. Delay too long and new faucets spawn stretching your hose longer and crowding the screen. Clear three rounds to advance to the next yard earning an extra life for completing each set. The game splits into two difficulty modes. Amateur levels use straightforward directional movement and right angle turns. Professional levels introduce a twist with a pseudo isometric layout shifting the vertical axis to a diagonal. This change adds complexity as players juggle tighter corners and faster pacing. Launched in 1982 Hoser balances retro simplicity with escalating challenges that test reflexes and planning. Its punishing yet fair design has earned it a cult following among old school enthusiasts.
