Hover Racing is a fast-paced racing game set in a neon-lit future where players pilot hovercrafts through tight, high-speed courses. The focus is on quick reflexes and precise handling across three Grand Prix events each with three tracks. Practice and time attack modes let you refine your skills without the pressure of competing against others. The controls are straightforward but demand skill to master especially on tracks with sharp turns and elevation shifts. While it follows familiar territory of other futuristic racers from the late 90s the game stands out for its tight physics and polished presentation. Developer Tomokazu Sato and his team delivered a solid package despite limited resources. Released on PlayStation in late 1997 it remains a niche title with a small but dedicated following. The track designs and synth-heavy soundtrack help it feel distinct even within a crowded genre.
