About

Hyperbowl Plus! Edition is a 3D bowling game from 2001 that swaps standard alleys for obstacle-filled lanes. Players roll a ball down paths littered with moving cars, trees, and other hazards while aiming to knock down ten pins in thirty seconds. Use a mouse or trackball to steer the ball mid-rollback, dodging obstacles and setting up strikes. The base version includes two lanes, Classic and Pins of Rome, with single-player only. Purchasing the Plus! CD-ROM unlocks four more lanes, plus four-player multiplayer. Scores and frames track like traditional bowling, but the chaotic lane designs keep every round unpredictable. The game’s quirky lane themes like Tokyo’s traffic or Yosemite’s falling trees set it apart from standard bowling simulators. Originally bundled with Microsoft Plus! for Windows XP, it remains a niche title with a small but dedicated following. Despite its age, the mix of timing, aim, and obstacle avoidance still offers a goofy twist on the sport genre.
