Ice Cream Break Head to Head is a competitive arcade game where you face off against a friend or the AI using a paddle to keep quirky ice cream-themed objects from hitting the ground. As colorful treats and hazards scroll down the screen you hit them back while collecting powerups to gain an edge. Each of the 30 levels throws new combinations at you including mini bosses that require timing and strategy to overcome. The simple controls let you focus on quick reflexes and aggressive play whether going solo against the computer or clashing locally with another player. The two player mode is the real draw here encouraging chaotic back and forth matches that favor fast hands and clever powerup use. Released in late 2021 it brings a retro aesthetic to modern consoles with smooth performance on both PS4 and PS5. While the single player campaign offers solid variety the game truly shines when played with another person turning every session into a test of skill and reaction time.
