Ice Fighter is a tactical shooter where you balance quick combat and careful planning. Each cycle splits into two phases: during the day you scavenge materials upgrade weapons and set up defensive structures. When night falls enemies advance and you must use your setup to melt them with controlled bursts of heat. The child protagonist uses a bonfire as both weapon and lifeline in a frozen environment. Gunplay feels tight with different weapon types needing smart resource management between rounds. The game stands out for its structured pacing alternating between strategic preparation and intense action. With upgrades affecting future waves and limited build slots every decision impacts survival. Early access feedback highlights the challenge of balancing offense and defense under resource constraints. Available on PC and Linux since March 2024 it offers 15-20 hours of single player content focused on refining efficiency against increasing threats.
