Iffermoon drops you into a fractured world where a crashed spaceship called the Iffermoon has turned an ancient kingdom into a battleground. You play as Silence, a nameless character with a murky past, navigating Dinost’s war-torn lands to stop a force called Cosmose. Combat mixes real-time action with turn-based commands letting you switch between physical attacks and strategic directives. Build a party of oddball allies each with distinct skills and tweak their roles to tackle enemies. Three standalone mini-games hidden in arcade machines offer extra challenges and rewards to boost your main quest. The game’s nested structure stands out with self-contained arcade titles that feel like bonus content rather than filler. While its 2008 release date shows in some dated visuals its mix of action and RPG mechanics remains fresh for fans of hybrid combat. Customization depth and the mystery around the Iffermoon’s purpose keep the story engaging even if the writing leans toward the earnest. The blend of exploration and varied gameplay loops makes it worth a look for those craving a less conventional RPG experience.
Your name is Silence, a young creature of unknown origin who finds himself in the Kingdom of Dinost, an ancient land filled with life and mystery. The inhabitants there have been at war with a creature called Cosmose since the day he emerged from a mechanical menace called the Iffermoon. The Iffermoon's origins are shrouded in controversy, but it's said that it once brought life to the planet. After the crash however, that all changed. Now all life in Dinost is in danger of not just being destroyed, but being reprogrammed.
