Impossible Mission 2025 casts you as an agent racing to dismantle a robot army before it goes live. Levels unfold as horizontal scrollers where you gather scattered tools and gadgets needed to solve a sliding-block puzzle at each stage’s end. The catch is navigating traps, timing jumps, and avoiding enemies while collecting pieces. Bonus games pop up between levels including a rhythm challenge and a quick-fire shooter adding variety to the core puzzle loops. Dated May 1994, this sequel ran on SNES, Mega Drive, Amiga, and Amiga CD32. While the single-player focus feels narrow by today’s standards, the blend of platforming and spatial reasoning stood out for its time. Larger levels and improved visuals over the 1980s original earned praise from retro fans, with some sources noting the sliding puzzles grow notably tricky in later stages.
