Incorporeal is a dungeon crawler where you split your soul from your body to navigate dangerous catacombs. As a treasure hunter, you switch between your physical form and a spectral shape to bypass traps, fight enemies, and solve environmental puzzles. Your body is fragile and needs protection while your soul roams, creating a rhythm of quick dashes, timed attacks, and careful planning. Each level forces you to balance exploration with survival, using both forms to unlock paths and avoid deadly hazards. The game’s core mechanic of dual-form movement sets it apart from typical action-platformers. Players report tight controls and a steady difficulty curve that ramps up with new obstacles and enemy types. With no combat or puzzle repetition, the 12-hour campaign feels varied but not overwhelming. Early access playtesters note a few polish issues but praise the creative use of spectral abilities. Released in 2025 by Vancouver Film School graduates, it’s a student-made project with a clear focus on gameplay depth.
