About

Irene: The Window is a story-driven game where you chat with a quirky friend during video calls that double as decision points. Your conversations shape the relationship, whether it leans romantic, platonic, or somewhere in between, while oddball mini-games and real-world chores pop up between calls. The gameplay loops around choosing dialogue, completing tasks like meal prep or journaling, and figuring out why your pal seems both charming and off-kilter. What lingers is the weirdly warm rhythm of it all. The character feels tangible enough to make you wonder what’s real, yet clearly fictional. While some players call it "soothing," others find the abrupt shifts in tone jarring. Either way, the way daily habits intertwine with the narrative sticks out, it’s a text-based game that quietly nudges you to look up from your screen.

Storyline

You're on a video call with an old friend, catching up after a long time apart. She's sassy and enigmatic, bubbly and tragic, and she keeps you looking forward to the next call. She can become your bestie, your love interest, or maybe something else entirely... It all depends on you - but also on whatever she's hiding behind her upbeat façade.
