About

Iron Dungeon is a twin-stick shooter with 2D platforming and roguelite mechanics. You control a military clone navigating a deadly underground maze, fighting enemies and scavenging weapons and upgrades. Movement and combat are tight, requiring quick dodges and precise aiming to survive. Platforms and jump boosters let you access hidden areas, while random loot drops keep each run unpredictable. Every death resets progress, so success relies on learning patterns and adapting strategies. The game’s standout features are its fast-paced action and procedural design. Randomly generated layouts ensure no two runs feel the same, and the lack of meta-progression means skill and luck are the only tools at your disposal. Released October 3, 2023, it plays best on PC with a controller, blending arcade-style reflexes with roguelite risk-reward. Players who enjoy tight controls and high-stakes exploration might find the 40+ hours of content here satisfying, though the difficulty curve can test patience.

Storyline

Iron Dungeon combines a twin-stick shooter and a 2d platformer seasoned with roguelike elements. Buried under the ruins of civilization, the underground military complex has awakened and resumed the production of combat clones. Take control of one of the clones, explore the complex's premises in search of dozens of weapons and upgrades, fight enemies, and make your way to the surface to find out if there is still life on Earth! Standing still is dangerous! Dodge bullets and aim well to survive! Do not spare your enemies because you will receive precious shards that can be spent on improvements by defeating them. Show precision and skill! Activate platforms and jump boosters that will help you get to the most inaccessible corners of the underground maze to get the most valuable items. You must always find out which maze you will find yourself in next! Dozens of random items await you to help you survive and advance further. However, if you die, you must start from the beginning. And yes, no meta-progression, just your skill, and a little luck!
