Akane Mugibata moves to the countryside to inherit her family’s restaurant, but ends up enrolling in a cooking school after struggling to make ends meet. Desperate for cash, she takes a job at a student apartment complex where she’s thrust into chaos as the new landlady. The residents are an oddball mix of eccentric personalities, each with their own quirks and demands. As she balances her studies, financial stress, and the messiness of apartment management, Akane must navigate awkward relationships and uncover the secrets behind her new home. The story unfolds through dialogue choices and branching scenarios that shape her journey. Otomate’s signature storytelling shines in this slice-of-life drama, blending everyday struggles with sudden absurdity. The cooking school setting adds a niche charm, while the cast of tenants keeps the tone lighthearted despite Akane’s constant stress. Though the PSP-era production feels dated, fans of character-driven narratives with a touch of humor may find the quirky interactions and gradual story reveals satisfying. The game’s focus on mundane challenges and personal growth sets it apart from typical visual novels, offering a cozy yet unpredictable experience.
