Take control of a ragtag squad of mercenaries in a war-torn country ruled by a tyrant. Jagged Alliance 2 lets you hire, equip and command specialists with unique skills in turn-based combat. Balance budgets, manage gear and outthink enemy forces across varied environments. Each mission mixes exploration, stealth and brutal firefights where positioning and timing decide outcomes. The game’s depth comes from its large cast of 150+ characters each with distinct personalities and dialogue. Over 10,000 lines of speech add flavor while realistic physics make every bullet and explosion feel weighty. Though released in 1999 it remains a cult favorite for its complex systems and endless replayability. Linux and Windows players still keep the server communities active two decades later.

Storyline

A ruthless dictator has taken control of the tiny nation of Arulco. The country's brutal army is holding the terrified population in its iron grip. The only opposition is a ragtag bunch of rebels. The bad news: you're in charge of the rebels. The good news: some of the world's best mercenaries will fight on your side... that is if you can afford them.
