Jay and Silent Bob: Chronic Blunt Punch puts you in control of Lunch Box and Mr. Snoogans as you tear through a side-scrolling arena. You can play solo or bring a friend along for co-op action where the two switch characters mid-combo or attack together. The game leans heavily on its beat-em-up roots with frantic hand-to-hand combat mixed in with some very specific trash talk mechanics that feel like actual weapons. You move through a shopping mall setting while trying to rescue customers who have lost their memories inside this strange place. The tag-team system stands out because it actually changes how you fight rather than just being a cosmetic switch. Players can chain attacks between the duo for bigger damage numbers, which keeps the combat from getting stale after ten minutes. The game has gathered decent ratings on PC and Linux platforms for its chaotic energy and faithful adaptation of the characters. It does not try to be a deep narrative experience but focuses entirely on the fun of brawling with friends while destroying everything in sight.
Jay and Silent Bob's customers are gone and they're on a mission to find out why. Their search soon leads them to the sparkling new mega-mall which is almost a city unto itself complete with apartments, restaurants, hospitals, and schools. On the surface, the mall seems a Utopia. But as our heroes soon discover once a would-be patron of this paradise enters they find they can't make their way out. Before long the power of the place mesmerizes them and they no longer remember their lives before becoming permanent citizens of The Galleria. Who's responsible for this diabolical labyrinth?! What do they want?! Will Jay and Silent Bob ever find the Orange Julius?! Only time will tell...
