Jesus II is a follow-up to Enix's early adventure title. Set four years after the original, it starts mid-voyage on the Callisto as a mysterious object plummets into the Mediterranean. Protagonist Kazuya Goshiki, a mechanic traveling on the ship, gets knocked unconscious by the impact and wakes to find the object salvaged onboard. The game centers on uncovering the artifact's purpose while navigating the ship's crew and events. Puzzle solving and dialogue choices drive the narrative forward with minimal combat or action elements. The game's tight mystery and focus on dialogue-based progression stand out for fans of old-school adventure titles. While it lacks the scale of Enix's later RPGs, its concise story and atmospheric setup earned a cult following among retro gaming communities. Originally exclusive to Japanese PC platforms like the PC-9800 Series, it remains a niche entry in the publisher's 1990s catalog.
Set 4 years after the events of the first game, the game begins onboard the Callisto, a passenger ship sailing across the Mediterranean Sea. An object from the sky suddenly crashes near where the Callisto is, and causes a big impact. Kazuya Goshiki – a 3WD mechanic travelling onboard - gets knocked out by the blast whilst on the deck. When he wakes up he finds out that the object was some sort of container, and had been salvaged by the ship.
