JezzBall is a puzzle game where you split a screen into sections by drawing lines without getting hit by bouncing balls. Each level starts with a blank grid and a bunch of balls ricocheting around. You have to time your line placements carefully since any contact with a ball resets your progress. As you clear sections the remaining space shrinks and the balls move faster increasing the tension. What makes JezzBall stand out is its simple yet challenging design. It predates many modern puzzle games but still feels familiar to fans of quick reflexes and strategic planning. The lack of frills focuses attention on the core mechanic which is deceptively hard to master. It’s easy to see why this early 90s title has remained a reference point for similar games over the years.
