Jinn Genie: Arabia Mania is a 1984 platform shooter tasking you with freeing a scholar trapped in a dungeon by a vengeful Ifreet. You move through side-scrolling levels shooting enemies and dodging obstacles while making your way to rescue the captive wise man. Basic controls center around jumping and firing, with minimal upgrades or special abilities. The game’s layout sticks to simple but varied dungeon rooms, each filled with roving foes and tight platforming sections. Released on Commodore 64 and similar systems, it’s among the first Arabian fantasy-themed games of the early 1980s. While graphics and sound are rudimentary by today’s standards, the straightforward design and clear goal make it a quick, no-frills challenge. Players needing more depth may find it underwhelming but retro enthusiasts appreciate its direct approach.
