Combat feels punchy with quick combos and dodges while navigating the environment often feels like a puzzle. Each floor mixes exploration and combat as Johnny dodges traps and fights waves of goons. The game’s charm comes from its over-the-top style and tight controls. The 3DS’s 3D effects add depth to the visuals without being overwhelming. Though the story is simple the pacing keeps things brisk and the boss fights are satisfying. With a 7.5 average from retro reviewers it’s a underrated action title from the early 3DS era.
