About

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Heritage for the Future is a 2D fighting game that brings the chaotic energy of the Stardust Crusaders story to arcades. Players control Jotaro Kujo and other characters with Stand powers, battling in fast-paced matches that mix special moves, counters, and the game’s signature "Zion" mechanic for timed attacks. The single-player mode walks through key moments from the manga’s third saga, while local multiplayer lets friends clash in punchy bouts. This CPS-3 title stands out as the final game released on Capcom’s arcade board, polished from its 1998 predecessor. Its over-the-top animations and faithful character designs capture the series’ flamboyant spirit, though the learning curve for its combat system might trip newcomers. With a cult following among JoJo enthusiasts and a place in arcade history, it’s a niche pick for fans of late-90s beat-em-ups.

Storyline

Based on the manga's third main story arc, Stardust Crusaders, the game follows a Japanese teenager named Jotaro Kujo, who has developed a supernatural ability known as a "Stand". Approached by his grandfather, Joseph Joestar, Jotaro learns that this power is the result of the influence of the sworn enemy of the Joestar family, a vampire named Dio. As his mother's life is put in danger when she starts developing a Stand that she can't control, Jotaro and Joseph go on a quest to destroy Dio so they can cure her.
