About

Jump Runner was a sci-fi action adventure built for the Dreamcast by Kuju Entertainment and Glass Ghost back in 1999. Players take on the role of Ethan Fall, a sleazy messenger who accepts a shady delivery job. Things go wrong when the recipient gets killed, forcing you to fight your way through a criminal underworld that stretches across multiple planets. The single-player campaign focuses on this personal revenge story while an online mode was planned to let users join gangs and compete for territory in a persistent world. This project never saw the light of day despite being fully announced. It remains one of those lost titles that fans of the Dreamcast still talk about when discussing unreleased gems. The idea of joining a criminal gang in an online space felt ahead of its time for the era. Since it is gone, we only have the original pitch and story details to go on. Those bits hint at a gritty tone that would fit the console well. It stands as a curious footnote in gaming history rather than a playable experience today.

Storyline

Sleazy messenger Ethan Fall accepts a dodgy assignment to deliver a mysterious package. The receipient is murdered, and so Ethan has to deal with a criminal element that expands beyond his planet.
