Junkbot is a browser-based platform puzzle game from 2001 where you build paths using virtual LEGO bricks. Your goal is to guide a robot through each level by arranging steps and ramps so it can reach and gobble up all the trash cans. The controls are simple but precise timing matters as you test your constructions. A sequel called Junkbot Undercover followed two years later with similar mechanics but new themes. Though tied to LEGO it never made it into real sets. A 2021 haunted house toy includes a secret compartment with the robot’s parts as a nod. The game’s clean design and tactile brick-placing feel hold up despite its age. Over 20 years later it still works as a quick mental workout with 40 levels to sort through.
