Jupiter Scope casts you as a spaceship operator firing at meteors hurtling toward a planet. The goal is to clear waves of flaming rocks before they hit the ground. Controls are straightforward: move left or right, aim, and shoot. The action starts slow but ramps up fast, with meteors stacking higher and faster as time goes on. You have limited ammo and health, so every shot counts. The screen scrolls vertically, keeping the pressure on as the danger zone shrinks. This 1991 NES title leans into pure reflex testing. The pixel art is simple but effective, with glowing orange meteors that pop against the dark background. While the premise is basic, the difficulty curve is punishing enough to challenge even seasoned arcade veterans. With no power-ups or complex mechanics to distract, it’s a no-frills test of speed and precision. Some players call it one of the more intense shooters in its library, though its lack of variety might wear thin after a few rounds.
At first we saw one or two fall and thought nothing of it, never thinking it could result in a Meteor shower. Using the "Star-Zap" Lazer we shoot them out of the sky, before they collide with things, but the meteor shower gets more intense.
