Justice League Heroes lets players assemble a team of iconic DC superheroes and take on supervillains in a story driven RPG. The console version for Xbox and PlayStation 2 focuses on co-operative gameplay where up to four players can team up as Batman Superman Wonder Woman and others. Combat mixes hand to hand brawling with character specific abilities while the plot follows a new storyline that nods to classic comic book lore. The game’s structure leans into straightforward action rather than deep role playing systems making it accessible for casual players and fans of the source material. The game was written by Dwayne McDuffie a longtime comics veteran which shows in its direct approach to superhero storytelling.
