"KAMIKO is a short but fun Nintendo Switch release. A single run can take as little as 30 minutes to complete, and once you're done you can do it all over again with a different character. Three complete runs will therefore take less than 2 hours, but it's a very entertaining ride while it lasts. The game is only $4.99 and its gameplay, music and graphics make it well worth the price of admission. There's also some extra secrets to find in this adventure, not to mention that the game will record your time for each character so that you can aim to speedrun the game. And perhaps something good will happen when you complete the game with all three characters…"

About

You’re a lone aircraft fending off waves of bombers in this 1982 Apple II shooter. Maneuver carefully to dodge bombs while firing at enemy planes that swarm the screen. The controls are simple but demand quick reflexes as you juggle offense and defense in real time. With limited health and escalating threats, every missed shot raises the risk of being taken down yourself. Kamikaze is a relic from the early days of home gaming, where raw challenge took priority over polish. Its no-nonsense approach and relentless action make it a niche pick for fans of old-school arcade intensity. Though its pixelated visuals and basic sound effects feel dated, the game’s test of patience and aim still holds up as a straightforward, no-frills shoot-'em-up. A 1982 release that proved even simple ideas could work under pressure.
