Kemono Friends 3 Planet Tours is a rhythm-based arcade game where players control anthropomorphic animal characters called Friends. Each character has a unique move set and players chain attacks in time with music to score points. The game emphasizes quick reflexes and memorizing combo patterns across different stages. Matches are typically played in short bursts with optional continuation rounds for high scorers. Gameplay revolves around maintaining rhythm and timing inputs during fast paced sequences. The game used Sega's Aime service for cross machine progress tracking but this support ended October 1 2021. Despite a brief run it maintained decent popularity in Japanese arcades for its colorful visuals and catchy soundtrack. Critics noted the high skill ceiling but short content lifespan due to arcade format limitations. With no home release it remains a niche title best experienced in dedicated locations before its service shutdown completed the experience.
In "Planet Earth," a new facility in the giant zoo "Japali Park" established on an archipelago, "Friends," or animal girls, team up in pairs and compete against each other in "Strength Contest" and "Cellien Warfare".
