About

Ken's Labyrinth is a 1993 first person shooter that channels the chaotic energy of early 3D games. You play as a guy dragged into a sci-fi nightmare when aliens kidnap his dog. Your mission is to blast through maze-like tunnels filled with weird enemies using silly weapons like a bubble-gum gun. Movement feels tight and twitchy with simple but frantic combat that keeps you moving. What sets it apart are the quirky interactive elements. Break walls hit vending machines and even play slots in the middle of a firefight. These touches made it feel fresh when it launched even if the graphics are definitely 90s. Developer Advanced Systems leaned into absurdity with the bubblegum arsenal and alien dog snatchers. It’s a forgotten gem showing how creative early 3D games could be with minimal resources.

Storyline

Ken's Labyrinth is about an ordinary man, heavily implied to be Ken Silverman himself, who wakes up one night to discover that his dog has been kidnapped by aliens. He tags along on their ship and ends up on their homeworld, where he must defeat the murderous creatures and rescue his beloved pet.
