Kether mixes space combat, puzzle solving, and run-and-gun action in a cluttered sci-fi setting. You alternate between piloting a ship through asteroid fields, blasting enemies in tight corridors, and deciphering clunky brain teasers. The controls feel stiff and the transitions between modes are jarring but the game leans hard into its chaotic energy. This 1993 Philips CD-i title has the rough edges of early multimedia experiments. Its oddball blend of genres and dated full-motion video clips make it a curiosity for retro fans. Developer Infogrames packed in enough variety to keep things shifting but the execution often feels like a prototype. Still its relentless weirdness has earned it a small cult following among CD-i collectors.
