Kinasai! is a fast paced platformer where you wield a shovel to carve traps in the ground. The goal is simple, dig holes to drop aliens into and then whack them to finish the job. Movement is tight and responsive, requiring quick reflexes as enemies close in. Scoring works through combos, each successful hit resets the clock, pushing you to chain kills before the next wave arrives. A relic from 1983, this Hudson Soft title feels like a forgotten arcade classic reimagined for home systems. The FM7 version brings crisp controls and a surprisingly deep scoring system that keeps runs short but rewarding. While the pixelated visuals are basic by today’s standards, the twitch based gameplay holds up well. Fans of old school action may recognize the Space Panic similarities but Kinasai! carves its own niche with its brutal simplicity.
