King of the Monsters is a chaotic brawler that mixes one-on-one combat with team-based brawling. Choose from a roster of six freaky creatures (or four in older versions) and wail on opponents in fast-paced matches. Play solo against computer-controlled foes or team up with a friend for co-op chaos. Each battle ends with a three-count pin or by draining the opponent’s time. The single-player mode has 12 levels split into two rounds, first conquering a string of monsters, then repeating the lineup in new cityscapes. The game’s charm lies in its goofy monster designs and the challenge of managing multiple enemies at once. The second half of the campaign shifts locations, adding visual variety without changing the core mechanics. Co-op play keeps things lively, though balancing two players can get hectic.
