Kinki Spiritual Affairs Bureau casts you as Mizuki Shiraishi, a government-sanctioned exorcist hunting rogue spirits in rural Japan. Armed with guns and spiritual wards, you investigate Saiga Village, where villagers have vanished and internet data has been erased. Navigate a cut-off settlement teeming with hostile entities while piecing together a conspiracy through environmental clues and radio check-ins with colleagues. The gameplay mixes action-based combat with light puzzle-solving as you uncover why the village was targeted. The game’s niche premise stands out, blending bureaucratic mystery with supernatural horror. Its focus on procedural investigation, tracking erased digital traces and figuring out spiritual infestations, offers a fresh angle on the genre. Early feedback highlights the eerie atmosphere and deliberate pacing, though some note the combat remains straightforward. With its quiet, methodical tone, it carves a distinct path in indie horror, appealing to players who prefer figuring out secrets over relentless scares.
